PRE-ORDER YOUR BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU BEFORE 20TH OCTOBER - IN BOTTLE OR MAGNUM!
Kewin Descombes is one of the most precocious talents in Beaujolais. Son of the great Georges Descombes, he has Gamay running through his veins and his first wine in 2013 was a much-lauded Vin Primeur like this, aka 'Beaujolais Nouveau'. It is fine form he has maintained ever since.
Beaujolais Nouveau is the most famous 'vin de primeur', released soon after harvest and traditionally on the third Thursday in November. Kewin's is a cut above the norm. Typically fermented for an extended period of time compared to simpler Nouveau wines, it has a structure that belies the style and finesse that transcends categorisation. All that gives it away as Nouveau is its youthfully bright purple rim in the glass and noticeably primary fruit flavours.
This year, thanks to the vagaries of international shipping, we're running our own van down to Villié-Morgon to collect his Vin Primeur and bring it back for you in time for Beaujolais Nouveau Day on 18th November.
Go large this year! Go with a magnum.
As well as the regular bottles, we also have it in magnum. With last year's Beaujolais Nouveau festivities cancelled due to the November lockdown, there was little cause for sharing with friends. So this year the done thing surely is to go large and go with a magnum!

The wine is only available to pre-order before 20th October and we are offering it at a reduction from the normal price, so that's £26 per bottle and £49 per magnum.
