Arnold Holzer considers the Goldberg vineyard to be the very best in the village (appropriately it translates as "golden hill").
The distinctive feature of this wine is the storage for two years in oak casks. French as well as American oak was used. The dominating American wood gives the wine a velvety vanilla note and the wine has the flavour of dark cherries, tender tannins and a delicate play of acidity on the palate so redolent of the variety.
