There aren't many wines in this world more fun to drink than Moscato d'Asti that balances the holy trinity of sweetness, acidity and low alcohol: Renata Bonacina's dainty Moscato does it all. This is an utter joy to drink, any time of day really (we love it at breakfast!). Intense aroma of peaches, oranges, elderberry and honey.
The grapes are softly pressed then fermentation is in stainless steel tank for a short while before it is halted. This results in a lightly sparkling wine with high sugar levels and low alcohol, but also lively, refreshing, balancing acidity.
Cà ed Balos was established in 2006 by Renata and her husband with the aim of making the very best Moscato. They own 3.5 hectares of Moscato Bianco vineyards planted 15-30 years ago in Castiglione Tinella and Mango, roughly 400 metres above sea level. The name means "House of the Naughty", but there's nothing naughty about drinking this!
